Currently, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education is managing 06 facilities with a total land area of 67,000 m2. Among these are 05 establishments in Ho Chi Minh City and one base in Thuan An city, Binh Duong province. With the approval of the Ministry of Education and Training and the People’s Committee of Long An Province, Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University is taking the next steps to establish a branch of the Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University, Ho Chi Minh City in Tan An City, Long An Province on the basis of merging with Long An College of Education.
The main campus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education is located at 280 An Duong Vuong, Ward 4, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City. This is the largest facility among the 06 campuses that the University is managing with an area of 30,404 m2. Most of the campuses and main activities are carried out here.
The main buildings at this facility include:
Building A was put into operation in 2012 with a usable area of 17,079 m2. With the structure of one basement and six floors, this is the working area of the School Council, the School Board of Management. and a number of functional and training units, one 200-seat conference hall, four 200-seat lecture halls, and ten 50-seat theory classrooms.
Building B was put into operation in 2016 with the usable area of 17,386 m2. This structure has 01 cellar and seven floors, which houses the office area for the training units, the Hall of 1,000 seats with conference sound system and 300 inch LED screen, one intelligent classroom, three meeting rooms, and 51 50-seat theory classrooms.
Building C was put into operation in 2005 with an area of 10,450 m2, 11 floors, where 27 computer rooms with a capacity of up to 800 people are in service for training, retraining, and testing on computers; one film studio with modern equipment such as video camera, video editing equipment, recording, virtual film studio software …; one server room providing network services for the whole school; six intelligent classrooms with classroom management software system and interactive board.
Building G, which is the Library and Working House for new professors, is built with 7,440 m2 of floor area, including 12 floors, among which from the first floor to the 8th floor are reserved for the library, the 9th floor for the hall and the top 3 floors are 40 working rooms for professors. The construction is expected to be put into operation from the 2021-2022 school year.
Building H with 1,454 m2 of floor area, the scale of 03 floors is the practice place of the units: Information Technology Center, STEM Center, Department of Kindergarten, Department of Primary Education, Department of Psychology, Department of Geography, and Women’s Education Team.
The K building with a floor area of 1,628 m2, the scale of 03 floors, is the practice and experiment area for the Department of Physics.
The M building with 2,256 m2 floor area, 4 floors is the practice and experiment area for the Faculties of Biology and Chemistry.
Building I with floor area 2,196 m2, 3 floors is the practice area for Faculty of Information Technology with 300 computers.
Building J with floor area of 1,568 m2, 5 floors is the space for Practice High School.
In order for sports activities to take place smoothly, Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University has invested in building 02 gymnasiums for sports training and competition with a total floor area of 1,200m2. This is not only a place to practice physical training and sports for students of the whole school but also a place to practice to improve the health of staff and lecturers of the University after class.
